Easter Trollbeads GalleryAnyone who has lost their local retailer recently and is worried about the future of Trollbeads...WORRY NO LONGER!  We have been inundated with new collectors and new customers at Trollbeads Gallery and have had conversations with Trollbeads that they are finding similar success.  So much so that the worldwide demand for the Mother's Day Rose and the Good Luck Bracelet has been out of stock! As much as Trollbeads International planned and as much as they created they could not keep up with the worldwide demand.  If you know me you know I can be like a Mother Lion if my customers can't get what they want so I had my dander up...much to the chagrin of the wonderful people at Trollbeads US. After I was told the situation I was a bit more understanding.  Then I sat back and realized what this all means and am so thrilled for Trollbeads that the action continues to the point of being sold out!  For those of you who have waited, fear not the beads and bracelets are on their way!

The NEW 2015 Easter Trollbeads will be shipping on this Friday and they are now on Trollbeads Gallery so go take a peek!  I was thrilled to see no new Bunnies and happy to see Dragon goodies! How great is the Trollbeads imagination??  A Dragon Egg so darn cute it has scales!  To me Trollbeads has always had an element of the fantastical -meaning fantasy, fairy tales and magic all rolled into beads and these new Dragon beads and lock do it for me!  I for one will be sporting them as I have a very sweet and meaningful Dragon thing with my grandson Asher.  When he was 4 I told him all about a little boy who discovered a Dragon Egg on our beach after a hurricane had blown all the sand out to sea.  The story would continue each time I saw him and it still brings a smile to my face.  Asher is now 13 so I don't know if he still feels the same way but I will tell you the first Trollbead he ever wanted was the Lucky Dragon and he wore him on a leather necklace!  Now you might be wondering how long can a dragon story go on but consider the issue of that child trying to bring a baby dragon home to Colorado on a plane. Asher's eyes got so big at this point I can still see him as he wondered if what I was telling him actually happened. He suggested he could sneak him on board in his back pack. I asked him "what would happen if he sneezed? It could start a fire!"  I know I have gone on a little long on our baby dragon but that is what Trollbeads is all about.  Creating a collection of beads that keeps your life's little stories as close to your heart as the big ones.

2013 Trollbeads People's Bead Event Announced!

describe the imageThe Time is Here!!

If you are a long term collector of Trollbeads you probably know the time has arrived to kick off the People's Bead contest and this year has, I think anyway, the most fun challenge ever!

For the fifth year in a row, Trollbeads is offering you the unique chance to become a Trollbeads designer. Each year thousands of entrys are submitted and the final choices are always voted on by the "people".  Everyone has an equal chance This is your chance to have your bead added to a new Traditional Sayings Collection, and again this year we will have multiple winners!

Now you may be thinking why does Louise think this is the most fun challenge yet? Because when you look around and think of some of the "traditional" sayings they can be quite funny. Culturally it shows the character of your country's history or the character of all the origination of these sayings.  There are so many that come from authors, poets and the pop world from which we can draw inspiration.  Some sayings we may never know where many of them come from and that is fun in itself.  So many traditional sayings have been verbally passed down through the years and through the generations and that's another great thing about this topic!  It offers us a thread that will lead us to even more connections through Trollbeads and afterall that's what they are all about.

 Theme: Traditional Sayings

What: Illustrate your favorite traditional saying in a bead and share it with us!
When: March 18, 2013 – April 10, 2013
How: Upload your design on Trollbeads Universe

Different cultures have different sayings, and we are excited to see which saying means a lot to you and to see how you translate it into the shape of a bead.  Of all submitted designs, 100 beads will be chosen for the final vote and presented on Trollbeads Universe.

At Rogers Gallery/Trollbeads Gallery we have been honored to have 3 of the past Peopel's Bead Award winners join us at Trollbeads Fest.  During Trollbeads Fest! 2010 we had the first winner, Suzanne Hopping from Australia join us along with Kristi Denning from Maryland!  We have been most fortunate to have Kristy live so close to us and she has been to all three Trollbeads Fest.  Suzanne won for her Pax Trollbead (shown above) and Kristi won for her Ice Bear.  The Fest was actually right after Kristi learned she had won the contest and she was able to bring the model she has sent to Trollbeads. Look at the image below and see how she created the bead in 3-D. Trollbeads had suggested you can send your ideas and designs in any format worthy of your design. Try folded paper! Try sculpting clay or whatever you feel most comfortable with!

One of the Third Peoples Bead Winner, Maria Af Rolen also from the US, West Virginia via Stockhlom Sweden joined us during Trollbeads Fest! 2012.  Maria won for her spirituality themed bead "Stay Postive". I have just receive a note from Maria and we have her 2013 entry to show you!  Her Theme is "Man's Best Friend"!

Summing up the year Trollbeads 2010

Posted by Louise Rogers on Wed, Feb 02, 2011 @ 17:02 PM

With all the outstanding Trollbeads releases in 2010 it has taken a full 5 articles to complete the story, with this being the final one.  The World Tour of Trollbeads continued with the set for Italy.Trollbeads Gallery Italian World Tour beads The glass bead was created in the colors of the Italian Flag and the silver beads all had great meaning to the history of Italy including pasta wrapping around a fork!

The final World Tour Trollbeads set for 2010 was for Holland complete with 4 beads also including a windmill, wooden shows and a bead representing Van Gogh's Sunflowers! All great designs for a great country filled with many Trollbeads fanatics!

You would think the year was full and productive as it stood but next came the extraordinary "Skeleton" necklace, available only in Europe. It was sensationally dramatic with a gold collar and it was unlike anything yet produced by Trollbeads. This may have not been the most popular release due to its size and price but it served to show us there is still a wildly adventurous side to this great company!  I would love to find one for our Trollbeads Museum!Trollbeads Gallery Skeleton Necklace

The most popular release was the introduction of the Limited Edition Picasso Jasper Trollbeads.  These are natural, organic and very popular! It's releases like this one that puts Trollbeads so far above the other brands and I hope they never stop testing the limits. Each Picasso Jasper bead has a variety of veining and colorations giving great drama.
